Less than Four Weeks Until the Festival

With less than four weeks to go until the Dublin Writers Festival, tickets to many events are selling fast with some nearly sold out. Make sure to book early to avoid disappointment.

The Festival Blog Kicks Off on Monday, May 11th

Elizabeth Rose Murray will be this year's official Festival Blogger and is thrilled to be blogging for this event. Elizabeth will be introducing you to the authors, keeping you up to date with festival news and providing details on venues. Elizabeth will also be blogging each event the same day that they run. There will be reviews, quotes, interviews and hopefully some video footage. If you have any ideas or suggestions, post them in the comments sections. We all look forward to seeing you there. This Week's Highlight: The Frost is all Over

Don't miss out on the DWF's first traditional music multi-media performance, The Frost is all Over, directed by John Comiskey and produced by Ten42 Productions. For those who love traditional music and are interested in the merging of art forms this is the event to attend.

This evocative live music / theatre performance brings together two of Ireland's foremost solo traditional musicians, Tony McMahon (accordion) and David Power (pipes, fiddle, whistle) with the poetry one of the country's greatest living writers, Dermot Bolger, recited by IFTA nominated actor Eamonn Hunt.
