So what does this all have to do with a competition? Well, quite simply, given today is such a mixed bag, what we’d like to do is offer some lucky Facebook fans or Twitter followers FREE tickets to the Dublin Writers Festival event of their choice.

(All except Michael Palin and Paul Theroux, I’m afraid, because they’re sold out.)
